Press Release 1st Nov 2007
Minnow Marine Projects Ltd. a new Company with years of experience. Minnow Marine Projects Ltd. (MMPL) was first registered in August 2006 and having just coMMPLeted 15 months in operation already has an order book of 8 new build PSV's and Multirole vessels, with cutting edge design ongoing for a new Compact Semi Sub (CSS) which will be able to support construction, maintenance, dive support, ROV and accommodation rolls in adverse weather conditions.

The company was formed with the aim of directors taking advantage of 25+ years industry knowledge and experience. With years of Offshore Marine involvement in the design, construction, owning and operations of all types of offshore support vessels and barges, directors felt they were well placed to give back to the market there wealth of experience.

Soon after registration a contract was negotiated and signed with a Chinese Shipyard for the construction of 2 x 70M 5000 BHP Fi Fi 1- DP-1 PSV's for delivery in April and July 2008. With the high demand for this type of craft a contract was soon signed for their sale to Singapore buyers upon delivery. To maintain the momentum options were quickly taken up for a second two 70M 5000 BHP Fi Fi1 – DP-1 PSV's making now an order book of 4 vessels within 9 months of commencement.

Analyzing the market and recognizing the current PSV's on order MMPL then turned their attention to the Multi Roll Utility sector, an area where high demand is met by very little availability of modern tonnage. We are talking here of 55-60M vessels equipped with adequate accommodation and cranage able to support hook up and small construction projects, also capable of carrying deck cargo which will be utilizes in such projects, vessels capable of tying up to fixed offshore structures. and to make the vessels fully multi functional they installed bulk, fuel, water, and liquid mud tanks, so the vessels can operate in the roll of supply, construction maintenance, and hook up support.

With the above in mind MMPL negotiated and signed a contract again in China for 4 x 58M 4000 BHP Multi Roll vessels which will be delivered from June to Dec in 2010.

UAE based GMMOS Group, backed by Abraaj Capital and Waha Capital, has acquired 100% of the share capital of Minnow Marine Projects Limited (MMPL) through its newly formed Singapore based division Stanford Asia. MMPL founder and CEO Robin Reeves will remain actively involved in the further development of the combined group as head of Stanford Asia. According to Elias Nassif, CEO of GMMOS Group, Stanford plans to make additional acquisitions in the OSV sector while expanding its geographic presence in 2010 with new regional offices in India and West Africa.

MMPL's fleet of offshore support vessels (OSV) comprising 4 Platform Supply Vessels (PSV) and 6 Multirole Utility Vessels (MUV) valued in excess of $200m, when delivered, will complement Stanford's diversified fleet of 33 vessels including AHTSs, FSVs, Utility Vessels and Crewboats operating largely on term charters across the GCC and South East Asia. PSVs run cargo and general supplies to mobile rig units and fixed offshore installations. MUVs are small PSVs which can be fitted with extra equipment in order to be used in a variety of roles. The acquired fleet significantly enhances the Stanford Marine fleet profile and allows it to offer a more comprehensive asset mix to existing and future customers in the oil and gas and offshore marine sector. With this recent acquisition, the total fleet size (including vessels to be delivered) increases to 43 vessels.

"The recently completed acquisitions and projects currently in the pipeline will help make GMMOS Group's Stanford Marine division one of the largest OSV-fleet owner-operators fleet in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia (MENASA) region, meeting the needs of the vital oil and gas industry and creating value for its shareholders," said Ahmed Badreldin, Executive Director at Abraaj Capital.

Appreciate if you could the above changes on urgent basis without any delays.
